Whether it’s a compact car, an off-road vehicle or a camper van – the new horntools Cloud roof tent fits almost any vehicle with only 60 kg weight. We developed the Cloud as an aluminum triangle roof tent from scratch and considered everything that matters: with a 140 cm sleeping area, the triangle roof tent is ideal for 2–3 people. Despite its extremely low height of just 12.5 cm when closed, blankets or sleeping bags can remain inside the tent. Thanks to a smart mechanism, the tent creates an additional height of 25 cm in the foot area when opened, providing even more comfort. In addition to the entrance, the triangle roof tent is equipped with four windows including mosquito nets.
Very quick setup in under 3 minutes
The triangle roof tent can be set up in no time and in under 3 minutes, even on your own. Simply open the four latches and push the tent upwards – the gas struts will automatically do the rest. Then insert the support poles for the canopy and you’re ready for your adventure!
Large roll-up canopy for additional protection
We deliberately equipped the Cloud triangle roof tent with a large canopy at the entrance and in front of the windows, providing extensive protection. At its widest point, the canopy extends 70 cm from the tent. In good weather, it can be rolled up and easily secured at the top using the designated fastening loops.
One of the flattest roof tents when closed
With the Cloud, we have developed a very flat triangle roof tent that adds only 12.5 cm in height to your vehicle roof when closed. This low height minimizes air resistance while driving and optimizes fuel consumption.
With ventilation option and optional heater inlet
Above the main entrance, there is an additional ventilation opening that can be opened and closed in no time. For optimal airflow, the window in the foot area is opened – this allows cold air to flow into the tent from below while warm air escapes at the top, creating the perfect climate inside the tent.
There is also an optional heater inlet in the foot area. In colder camping situations, warm air can easily be directed into the tent using a portable parking heater.
Roof rack for Cloud roof tent
The optional roof rack for Cloud roof tent expands your setup with additional storage space directly on top of the tent. This allows you to make optimal use of the available space while staying flexible – whether traveling, overlanding or in everyday use.
With up to 25 kg load capacity, you can safely store transport boxes, recovery gear or other equipment without taking up space inside your vehicle. Despite the added setup, the total height remains compact at just 19.5 cm.
Expand your Cloud roof tent with an awning
With the matching awning bracket, you can equip your Cloud roof tent directly with an awning – without needing an additional roof rack. The awning is securely mounted to the lower frame of the roof tent. This saves overall height, keeps your setup more compact and is a cost-effective solution for extra shade and weather protection when camping, travelling or off-roading. Ultraflach, leicht und optisch stimmig! Für mich der größte Vorteil: WIRKLICH Ultra schnell auf-, und abgebaut! Die integrierten Taschen, das feste Licht und der Komfort lassen mich meine Wahl nicht bereuen. Mein vorheriges Dachzelt war wirklich nicht ansatzweise so bequem. Auch praktisch: die umlaufende Nut mit Nutensteinen eignet sich perfekt um Zurrösen oder Lichter direkt am Zelt zu befestigen. Alles in allem das beste Dachzelt das ich je gesehen habe. In den ersten Wochen nach an Anbringung insgesamt schon 8 Nächte, sowohl alleine als auch zu zweit, bei jedem Wetter genutzt und voll zufrieden. 🤝
Bin total begeistert vom Dachzelt. Der Anbau und Aufbau ist total easy und geht schnell.
Die Qualität vom Zelt und von der Matratze ist mega hochwertig und selbst bei Regen ist alles trocken.
Weil es extra schmal ist komme ich sogar in die Tiefgarage!
Everything about the tent is the best I could find on the market – size to weight, materials, opening and closing, the wind/rain awning. It looks similar to many other tents but excels in that it takes the best details from all varieties and put it into one product.
BUT, it is very cumbersome to mount if the space between your roof rack and car roof is not large enough. I had to cut the included bolts with a grinder to make them shorter but still there is no way you could fit the nuts since there is no room for fingers or tools. In the end I had to demount the roof rack, mount the tent on it and then mount everything on the car, which actually might be the best way to do it anyway, if you can manage the extra weight. One of the advantages of this tent (and the front runner rack) is that it (them) are the lowest on the market, keeping wind resistance to a minimum. So apart from the problem with mounting they are a perfect combination. Another thing to think about is if you have an awning from another brand (I have one from bushwakka) it might make it hard to open the fastenings on the tent. For me it works perfectly, but I can imagine that on other set ups there might not be enough room left to open the fastenings on the tent. I drive a VW multivan T5.
Sehr einfache Montage und dann sehr schnell aufgestellt. Das Dachzelt hält alles was es verspricht. Auch die Matraze ist sehr bequem. Alles in allem ein sehr empfehlenswertes Produkt.

Das Horntools Dachzelt „Cloude“ überzeugt mit leichter, flacher Bauweise und sehr hoher Verarbeitungsqualität – ideal auch für Elektromobilität. Einziger Kritikpunkt sind die Montageschienen auf der Unterseite, die etwas besser integriert sein könnten. Insgesamt ein hochwertiges und durchdachtes Produkt. Bisher leider erst nur Testweise aufgebaut aber der erste Einsatz folgt mit wärmeren Temperaturen. :-)
Das Dachzelt Cloud ist super verarbeitet, schnell aufgebaut und steht richtig stabil – auch wenn das Wetter mal nicht mitspielt. Dazu noch bequem und perfekt für spontane Trips.

Wir haben das Cloud das erste mal auf der Messe in München gesehen und was soll ich sagen.. wir waren direkt verliebt. Horntools hat sich hier wirklich gedanken gemacht, von der geringen Höhe über das Gewicht und die bequeme matratze. Auch optisch ein hingucker. Sehr praktisch auch, dass man Markise etc direkt ran montieren kann. Wir haben das Zelt seit einer Woche bei uns der erste kurze Trip war bereits top. Wir freuen uns auf den Sommer mit dem Cloud!! The delivery also includes practical details such as an interior organizer, a shoe bag, locking mechanisms for the gas springs, and comprehensive operating and care instructions. Optional accessories can be added at any time, but are not required for use.
